Relationships are all important, no matter what stage they are in. I believe that any relationship between two people, budding or established, is a definite milestone in your lives and deserves to be cherished and remembered just like any other important moment in time that you want to preserve. I have taken many couple pictures in my time as a photographer and enjoy capturing the special, close and loving bond between two people. As a Boston couple photographer, I specialize in memorializing moments all around our beautiful city. No matter what setting you should choose to hold your photo shoot, I make the best of your surroundings in a way that complements the obvious love between the two of you. Casual and easygoing, my goal is to make you feel like the two of you can be yourselves around me in order to capture the true essence of your precious bond.
I was given the special chance recently to photograph two wonderful people in a committed relationship with one another. We began in the early evening, which holds the most flattering, romantic lighting in which to take my photographs. Many of the photographs I took in the beginning were beautiful water shots in which I let the light play against the ripples and the sunlight flicker around and through the darkened silhouettes of my clients for a breathtaking effect.

In many of my shots, I use commonplace poses for photographing couples so that they feel streamlined and familiar. However, I do like to add in my own personal flair and perspectives so that your unique photo shoot truly feels like it is solely your own, standing out from the rest of the couple pictures out there. Of course, I give my clients the ability to help guide me in the direction they want to take, letting them give me their own suggestions for their poses for photographing couples so that their own touch is present in their cherished pictures.

Occasionally, I like to take flattering, candid shots that are not in a staged pose to clearly showcase the love and happiness you share together. Shots filtered between tree leaves, photos of you in tall grass exchanging quiet conversation and solid backdrops that draw attention to your smiles are my favorites. These candid shots often invoke the most emotion upon viewing, as you can truly see yourselves the way others see you when they look at your happy relationship.

I also enjoy taking action shots that are fun and casual such as I did in this shoot. Many photos were taken of the couple dancing, mid twirl, as well as playfully tossing a football between them. As the sun faded, the tone of the photos changed again while I took shots of them against the beautiful, dying light. I believe in taking timeless templates of photography and putting my own spin on them so that you get everything out of your photographs that you desire.

I would love to be the Boston couple photographer that you turn to in order to capture forever the flowering of your special relationship. You can contact me at phone/email and let me help you bring the magic of your love to tangible life.

Boston Wedding Proposal Photographer • Boston Portrait Photography

Engagement proposal photography is perhaps my greatest passion. In my time as a photographer, I have learned that capturing the delicate, intimate moments that take my clients from the normalcy of their daily lives to their utter surprise and sincere elation bring me the greatest joy. These special moments are ones to be cherished for years to come, and I take pride in my ability to give these keepsakes to the newly engaged. I get to take many photos of unique surprise proposal, and each shoot is as important for me to capture as it for the couple to experience. I treat each couple as individuals, therefore creating a comfortable experience for all involved as I strive to be a surprise proposal photographer Boston couples feel at home with.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to be a part of something incredibly special. I was able to shoot for a beautiful couple, Dave and Emily. Dave wanted to make the experience truly special for Emily, staying true to past hobbies and passions the couple shared together. Dave went to all of their favorite breweries and  held signs at each location. He captured each moment to put into an album for them. At one brewery, Dave held up a sign that said, “will.” At another, a sign was shown that read, “you.” This repeated at each of their beloved breweries, until each sign came together to read the question every woman can’t wait to hear: “Will you marry me?”

Dave forewarned me of his plans to propose formally and gave me a time and location. I went there beforehand so I could find a fantastic spot to photograph them from while remaining hidden from sight. Dave took an unsuspecting Emily on a nice, romantic walk through the field that ended with them in the determined location, and I let one of the best, unique wedding proposals I have seen play out in front of me, capturing each shot with my camera along the way.

After their intimate, private moment had passed and I got to see Emily’s genuine reactions captured on film, I approached her to congratulate the happy couple and make her aware of my presence. From there, I arranged a purposeful photoshoot in which Dave and Emily posed for me. Emily held up a sign that reflected Dave’s earlier question, stating that she said yes! The couple posed for me in comfortable, natural ways that I helped instruct. The end result was a beautiful, timeless moment captured forever in high-quality photos.

My goal is to provide surprise proposal photography in Boston to every couple I can by making their experience completely natural and comfortable with my flexible schedule and laid back attitude. I want each couple to feel like themselves as they stand before my camera lens, and I would love to do the same for you. You can contact me by phone/email with interest in my engagement proposal photography.

Baby Boy’s Ten Month Old Photo Shoot | Brookline MA Baby Photographer

Boston Baby Photography • Family Portrait Photographer Boston MA

Baby and family photos are more than just pictures; they capture precious moments in time. Over the years, the photos bring families back to the days of the past, allowing for reflection and reminiscing. That’s why it’s important for me as a Boston baby photographer to take pictures that don’t just show how a baby or a family looks. My goal with every photo shoot is to take shots that reflect who my clients are. As you can see from these precious family photos, my work tells a story that parents can look back on fondly for years to come and that the children and adults that babies grow into can look upon with wonder to learn about when they were young.
While studio shoots can produce attractive family and baby photos, I love to take my clients outdoors for shoots. As a Boston baby photographer, I have discovered a number of beautiful spots that have picturesque scenery that makes for stunning images. When choosing locations, I’m careful to pick places that have picturesque scenery that will add beauty to my subjects without detracting attention away from them. I also look for places that will provide opportunities for different types of poses like the grassy shots and the staircase shots featured in this gallery.
Taking baby photos requires patience and keen attention. You can’t instruct an infant to pose the way you can an adult, so I make sure to stay at the ready to capture those precious moments that happen naturally. I love to allow babies to just be babies and to let families play and have fun while I observe through the camera lens. This allows me to catch moments that otherwise would never end up in family photos, making my work more than just neatly posed portraits taken in a studio.
When you’re photographing babies for family photos every facial expression can make for a memorable photo. Many parents fret about their children being fussy, but as you can see from the baby photos in this gallery, upset and pouty faces can make for incredible pictures. No baby smiles every moment of the day, and I always tell my clients that one day they’ll want to remember those frowns and looks of surprise as much as they do the wide adorable grins.
To get the best family and baby photos possible, I approach shoots with a laid-back, relaxed attitude. When I’m at ease, my clients are at ease as well and better able to be themselves in front of the camera. My ultimate goal is to make the photo shoot a fun, pleasant experience for everyone, so that my camera is able to capture truly fond memories of a special day.
I take a variety of images of baby alone and with Mom and Dad, giving my clients a wealth of options to choose from when ordering prints, creating holiday cards and more. For more information about my family photography and baby photo shoots, please contact me by PHONE/EMAIL.

Portrait Photographer Boston • Boston Photographer

As we’re living in a day and age where virtually everybody has access to a HD camera in a matter of seconds I.E their smart phones, it can be tough to truly appreciate just what it takes to create an eye-catching and professional-looking family portrait photos. Whilst many of these cameras and smart devices have features such as red eye removal, color balancing, filters, and all of the other bells and whistles, you may think that the need for a professional photographer is on the decline, but in reality, the exact opposite is true.
Professional photographers and family photos – Take family photos for instance, these photographs are memories that will be cemented in image form forever, and can serve as important reminders as to how precious family really is. If you’re in the Boston area and are on the lookout for a Boston photographer and wish to book you and your family for a series of professional Boston family portrait photos and are looking for family photo ideas and inspiration, why not take a page out of the Callahan family’s book and opt for an outdoors shoot? The Callaghan family, a wonderful couple with two amazing young girls, opted for a series of family photos taken outdoors, but in reality, if you’re looking for family photo ideas, there is nothing that your photographer won’t be able to do for you. Here’s a look at some fantastic benefits of hiring a professional Boston photographer and having professional family portraits taken.
Amazing images – Let’s face it, it doesn’t matter how fancy a smart phone’s camera is, and how many features it has, most people, whilst perhaps having an eye for photography, are not professional photographers and have not had the years upon years of learning, teaching, training, and experience required to create professional-quality images. Professional photographers, including Boston photographer like myself, have an eye for photography and as a result, we’re able to do what we do best, which is, deliver amazing, professional images to the highest possible specs.
Professional accessories and equipment – Another huge benefit associated with having your family portrait photos taken by a professional photographer, is the fact that we use the most expensive, high-tech, sophisticated, and professional accessories and pieces of equipment that money can buy. With the Callaghan family, for example, when I was shooting their images for them, the equipment I used was able to capture every precise detail, every ray of light, every leaf, and every blade of grass, resulting in ultra-sharp, and highly professional images.
Expert knowledge and advice – Not only do professional portrait photographers such as myself, know exactly how to use a camera, and indeed, how to edit the images to the highest specs possible, but as well as that, we also know exactly what it takes to create beautiful looking images. We know which light works the best, where people should stand, what they should wear, how they should smile, how they should act, and more besides. We basically act as directors, and will provide our clients with simple tips and instructions to help us create the best images imaginable.

Engagement Photos | Beacon Hill

Engagement Pictures | Beacon Hill | Boston Commons | Newbury Street

Engagement Portrait Photographer  • Boston Engagement Photos

Many couples are commemorating their engagement with special engagement photos. I’d like to invite you to join me at Beacon Hill, Boston Common on Newbury Street for engagement photography. This location is perfect for the happy couple to be photographed in a variety of natural poses.
A pre-wedding photo session is also the perfect opportunity to create engagement photographs, and then print and send them out as engagement announcements to your closest friends and family.

Beacon Hill is the perfect location for engagement photos. It’s a neighborhood of historical importance, with a population of over 9000 residents. It’s notable for its Federal style rowhouses, and quaint streets, with gaslights and brick sidewalks. This region is considered one of the most expensive to live in Boston, but is still available for the wedding couple to take a stroll down its narrow avenues while being photographed.

The Massachusetts State House is at the top of the hill. The word Beacon Hill often refers to the state government. The streets also have some beautiful greenery and window boxes that make the perfect backdrop for engagement photography.

Many couples like to have a set of photographs for their family album that commemorates each point in their lives. It starts naturally with engagement photography, then wedding photography, and finally, photographs of your children and family reunions.

These precious moments happen only once in life, and what better way to remember your special moments than with engagement photos.

Later, you’ll be able to look on each photograph as a special moment in time. You’ll be able to recall the fresh crisp air of Boston, and how the breeze flew gently through your hair. You’ll be able to smell the fresh shrubbery and flowers. A photograph is almost as good as being there the first time.

My name is Mat, and I’m a Boston engagement photographer for your special day. Couples have the option of dressing up in special formal wear, or just appearing in their everyday clothes for their engagement photography. Of course it’s imperative that the woman wear her engagement ring.

I don’t charge for the photoshoot, just for each individual photo you wish to download in high resolution. I take many photographs during each session, so you’ll have plenty to choose from. This may be a bit different than how other Boston engagement photographers do it.

I’ve been capturing nature through my camera lens for many years now. I then decided to delve into the world of portraiture, as people fascinate me. I love to place them in the best light possible during their pre-wedding photo session. As a Boston engagement photographer, it’s been one of my passions to combine landscape photography with portrait photography.

I do on-location photography in Boston, rather than in-studio photography. I believe that Boston provides the perfect backdrop for many stunning photographs. If you’re seeking an on-site portrait photographer in Boston for your pre-wedding photo session, please give me a call!
