I’m Mat — a family photographer based in Burlington, and I photograph families right across the towns nearby. I’ve been photographing local families for years, in the parks around town and, just as often, right at home where everyone is most relaxed.
My sessions are candid and shot entirely in natural light. No forced lineups and no “everybody say cheese” — I follow your kids around and photograph what actually happens. Sessions start at $599 with every edited image included, and your gallery is delivered within seven days.
Weekends in September and October book out first. If you want autumn colour or soft golden-hour light for your family, reach out early.

Every town round here has one or two spots that photograph beautifully in the hour before sunset — open meadows, tree lines, water. Tell me where you live and I’ll suggest the ones that work best for your family and the time of day we shoot.
Your own home
Some of my favourite sessions never leave the house. Toddlers, pancakes on a Saturday morning — natural light through your own windows, and nobody has to get everyone into the car.
Somewhere that matters to you
The backyard you’re leaving, a grandparent’s garden, the field at the end of your street. If a place means something to your family, we can shoot there.

Thirty years of chasing the real moment.
I’ve been taking photos since I was a kid — more than thirty years now — and I turned that into a business in 2015. Two kids of my own later, I still shoot the only way I ever have: candid, natural light, and the moments you didn’t know were happening.

How much does a family photo session cost?
$599 for 30 minutes, $799 for 60, and $1,199 for 90. Every edited image is included — no sitting fees, no print packages and nothing to buy afterwards. The prices are published in full, right here on the page.
Which towns do you cover?
I’m based in Burlington and there’s no travel fee within about twelve miles — Winchester, Lexington, Arlington, Bedford, Reading, Wilmington and the towns around them. Further out is usually still possible, so it’s worth asking.
Where do sessions happen?
A local park near you, or right at your own home — whichever suits your family best. Some of my favourite sessions never leave the house.
How quickly do we get the photos?
Your full edited gallery arrives within seven days, and every image is yours to download and print at any size you like.
What should we wear?
Soft, muted colours that don’t compete with each other, and clothes your kids can actually move in. I send a short guide with real examples once your date is booked.
How far in advance should we book?
Fall weekends usually go six to eight weeks out. The rest of the year, two to three weeks is normally fine.
